For the Avocado Honey BBQ Sauce:
Crushed Tomatoes | 2 cup |
Garlic Cloves | 4 each |
Water | ½ cup |
Brown Sugar | ½ cup |
Jalapeño | 1 each |
Howell’s Standard Avocado Honey | 3 oz |
Paprika | 1 Tbsp |
Worcestershire | 1 Tbsp |
Salt | 1 Tbsp |
1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.
For the Ribs:
Ribs | 2 racks |
Your Favorite BBQ Pork Rub | 2 cups |
Howell’s Standard Avocado Honey | ½ cups |
1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Remove the membrane on the backside of each rack of Ribs. Then, generously rub all over with your favorite Pork Rub.
3. Pour half of the prepared Avocado Honey BBQ Sauce into a medium or large rimmed baking dish. Place ribs on top with the meaty side facing up.
4. Pour remaining Sauce on top and cover tightly with aluminum foil.
5. Bake until meat is tender and pulls away easily from the Rib (at least 4-5 hours).
6. Carefully take the Ribs out of the baking dish. Remove 1 cup of the baking liquid and put into a medium bowl. Whisk in a ½ cup of Howell’s Standard Avocado Honey to create a glaze.
7. Using this Honey glaze, generously coat the Ribs on all sides.
8. Heat grill to high. Place each glazed rack on the grill and sear on both sides until nicely charred and caramelized. Enjoy!
